Buster Keaton took to the stage quickly in his life, and was moved onto the big screen by 1917. He quickly met Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle, who swiftly dragged him into The Butcher Boy, a silent film. Buster Keaton was hooked. He became close friends with Fatty, and began producing films with him. Soon, he took a break from the film business where he joined the French army during the first World War. After his career in the back lines, Keaton went on to rent out one of Charlie Chaplin's old studios, where he began his own production company, known as Buster Keaton Productions. Being the leading man in a long line of comedic block busters (no pun intended), Buster Keaton skyrocketed to fame. He has famous films, some of the most notably being The Saphead, The General, The Cameraman, and Sherlock Jr. He made tons of films and was voted as one of the best all-time male actors in multiple post-2000 polls.
